Paramedic Camp (FR)

Paramedic Camp (FR)

Welcome to Paramedic Camp (First Responder), an immersive and empowering experience designed exclusively for young individuals between the ages of 13 and 17. Over the course of two action-packed weeks, participants will embark on a transformative journey of learning and personal growth in the field of emergency medical care.

At Paramedic Camp, our primary focus is to equip young minds with the essential skills and knowledge needed to make a difference in emergency situations. The camp kicks off with a comprehensive Standard First Aid and CPR Level C course, ensuring that all participants have a solid foundation in basic lifesaving techniques. From there, the program is structured to progressively enhance their skills, confidence, and understanding of emergency medical procedures.

This camp includes:

  • Standard First Aid with CPR Level C certification ($190.00 value)
  • Alert Deluxe First Aid Kit ($76.19 value)
  • T-Shirt ($40 value)
  • First Responder certification ($595.00 value)
  • Extra Practice Time (3 days)

Our experienced instructor(s) will foster a supportive and engaging learning environment, encouraging participants to actively participate and develop their skills. Through a combination of hands-on training, interactive workshops, and engaging simulations, campers will gain a deep understanding of various medical emergencies and learn how to effectively respond to them.

Throughout the camp, participants will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of topics, including CPR, wound care, splinting, patient assessment, and much more. As they progress, those who demonstrate proficiency and dedication may even have the chance to pursue additional certifications. By the end of the two weeks, successful participants can proudly earn a First Responder certificate, solidifying their commitment to saving lives and their readiness to handle emergencies.

Paramedic Camp is not just about learning medical skills, it's also about fostering teamwork, leadership and personal growth. Participants will engage in team-building exercises, develop effective communication skills, and learn how to remain calm under pressure. Friendships will be formed, memories will be made, and invaluable life lessons will be learned, shaping the campers into confident and compassionate individuals.

Whether you dream of becoming a paramedic, pursuing a career in the medical field, or simply want to acquire life-saving skills, this Paramedic Camp offers an unforgettable experience that will leave a lasting impact. Join us for two weeks of adventure, discovery and personal growth, and become part of a community dedicated to making a difference in the world of emergency medical care. EMA Licensing Board Minimum Age Information

The Emergency Medical Assistants Licensing Board has the following policy in place for the registration of emergency medical assistants (EMAs) under the age of 19:

  • No emergency medical assistant licences will be issued to applicants under the age of 16;
  • All licence holders that are 16 to 18 years old must be supervised by a fully licensed EMAs of the same level or higher who is at least 19 years old. This term and condition is removed when a licence holder turns 19.

This does not mean you cannot get a First Responder certification if you're below 16, it just means that you can't go on to do your EMA Licensing Board Exams and work on an ambulance until you meet the above requirements for minimum age.
