For current Red Cross Professional Responder Instructors (BLSI, FRI, EMRI) who wish to recertify their instructor certification.

 

 

This 6 hour course recertifies candidates to teach either Red Cross First Responder, Emergency Medical Responder or BLS .

This session will emphasize instructional techniques and offer a chance to exchange experiences with fellow instructors in a cooperative setting. Participants will engage in discussions on effective teaching methods and facilitation strategies. The agenda comprises individual and group tasks, hands-on teaching practice, principles of injury prevention, fostering inclusivity, and promoting progressive learning.

Course Details

In order to recertify your instructor certification, you must meet the following prerequisites:

A current CRC First Aid Professional Responder Instructor certification.

Have taught a minimum of three Canadian Red Cross First Aid Program courses during the three-year certification period (including at least one at the highest level you are certified to teach)

Please submit teaching records through MyRC. Courses which were taught in combination (example: Standard First Aid and Emergency First Aid) do not count as separate courses for the purpose of re-certification prerequisites.
