Alert First Aid offers CPR C and CPR recertification as standalone courses. Moreover, CPR C is an integral component of our primary first-aid courses, including Emergency First Aid, Standard First Aid, and Marine First Aid. Most individuals acquire their CPR C certification within the context of these broader first aid courses. However, it's essential to note that our Worksafe BC Occupational First Aid courses, specifically tailored for workplace first aid, do not include CPR C. The majority of our first aid courses, all of which include CPR training, can typically be completed in a single day in the classroom. For instance, both Standard First Aid and Marine First Aid certifications are 2-day courses, but they are available in a blended format, allowing one of those days to be completed online. Courses are regularly offered at our Vancouver, Victoria, Nanaimo, and Duncan locations, providing convenient options for quick certification. If you need a responder-level course for your workplace, OFA Level 2 is a 5-day program, while OFA Level 3 is a more extensive 10-day course spread over two weeks. Emergency First Aid expires after 3 years, so you will need to recertify the Emergency First Aid every 3 years to keep it maintained.

Due to WCB and Red Cross national first aid training standards, a written exam is mandatory for the Standard First Aid course. Be cautious of agencies in BC that claim otherwise. If you encounter challenges with a written exam, your first aid instructor can assist you.

The Emergency First Aid course is equivalent to WCB OFA level 1. To certify you as a Level 1 first aid attendant, we require age verification and confirmation of your identity. Acceptable identification for BC Workplace First Aid includes: Valid Canadian or U.S. Driver's License. Valid Passport. Valid Student ID Card for the current school year. Employee Picture Identification Card. Native Status Picture Identification Card. BC Photo ID (including digital) issued November 1996 or later. Please ensure you have one of these forms of ID to participate in your first aid course.
