This Canadian Red Cross Marine Basic First Aid and CPR Level C course equips participants with essential first aid and CPR skills, emphasizing scenarios specific to marine and fishing industries. The course meets the requirements outlined in Transport Publication (TP) 13008 E and is ideal for those working on or near water.

For those who work on smaller craft or lower risk environments. Marine Basic First Aid is the appropriate course.Marine Basic First Aid is a 2 day course that is essentially the very same as Red Cross Standard First Aid, with a few extra topics specific to the marine environment, such as communication in an emergency on the water, and added emphasis on the topics of drowning, hypothermia, and shock. Marine Advanced First Aid may be required for those who work on larger vessels or higher risk environments. Marine Advanced First Aid is essentially the very same as a Red Cross First Responder course with a few added ‘marine topics’ and This is an intensive week long course.

Canadian Red Cross certificates are now virtual! You will receive a certificate of completion once you've finished the online module, and a permanent virtual certificate will be emailed to you after you've successfully completed the entire course. You will also be able to view your manual and certification online at any time through your MyRedCross account. Certification is valid for 3 years.
