A fun and stress-free food handling course for front line food service workers in Vancouver.
The Vancouver FOODSAFE Level 1 course is a must for anyone working in the food service industry. This is an interactive course designed for all front line food service workers - including cooks, servers, bussers, dishwashers and deli workers. Topics covered include foodborne illness, receiving and storing food, preparing food, serving food, cleaning and sanitizing.
This FOODSAFE course meets the regulatory requirements for food workers in BC. The BC Health Act: Food Premises Regulation states that every operator of a food service establishment, and at least one employee on every shift, must hold a FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate, or a certificate from a course recognized as equivalent to FOODSAFE.
To help slow the spread of COVID-19 in British Columbia, masks will be required for the duration of the course. You can find our full COVID-19 Safety Plan in the Resources section.
